• To raise funds to support local programs and initiatives supporting women, those who identify as women and their families locally.

Women of Impact Awards is dedicated to women's achievements and will recognize 20 local women nominated by their peers, who have shown initiative in helping others.

By sharing their stories, we can cement their place in history and inspire others to follow in their footsteps.

Together we are the impact and we shape the tapestry of and heart of Peterborough City and County.

Nominate a friend, family member, neighbour or colleague who goes above and beyond to make our community a better place. 

Whether they are well-known figures or unsung heroes, young trailblazers or seasoned advocates, our aim is to recognize and honor women from diverse backgrounds, ages, and cultures who dedicate their lives to driving positive change. 

Nominees can be living or deceased; they can be well-known figures or unsung heroes working quietly behind the scenes. We are striving to recognize women who lead from where they are and give back to the community.

For example, nominations can be inspired by neighbours, caregivers or volunteers who have:

• dedicated time towards a particular social cause or causes
• demonstrated impact in their profession, organization, or community
• advocated for the representation and empowerment of underrepresented groups
• distinguished themselves on the local/national/international stage
