The Community Impact team along with the rest of the United Way staff would like to extend our appreciation to the dedicated members of the Community Impact Committee for their contributions to our work. Their insights and support are essential to our local efforts for change, and touch on everything from granting, to research, to advocacy.

Happy National Volunteer Week!

Today we want to recognize and celebrate every volunteer and each contribution they make to strengthen inclusivity and wellbeing in our communities. The 2024 theme for #NVW2024, Every Moment Matters highlights the importance of coming together, committing support, and increasing our collective efforts and impact

Our Inaugural Women United Committee members are invested in the empowerment of women, those who identify as women, girls, and their families. Through mentorship, advocacy, and amplification of marginalized voices this incredible group of women and allies contribute exponentially to the quality of life we all strive for.

Happy National Volunteer Week!

The theme for National Volunteer Week 2024 is Every Moment Matters. It highlights the importance of every volunteer and each contribution they make at a moment when we need support more than ever. The sharing of time, skills, empathy, and creativity is vital to the inclusivity, strength, and wellbeing of our communities.

Today we want to celebrate our 2023/2024 Community Campaign Cabinet members who are an incredible group of hands-on community leaders whose dedication to making our community stronger is nothing short of inspiring! Members of this team assist with key decision making around fundraising campaign strategies, thanking our donors, organizing workplace campaigns and community events.

The 2023 Community Campaign for United Way Peterborough Achieved $1.4 million, an 8% increase over 2022 allowing for greater investment through our 20 Partner Agencies in the communities we serve.

Last night’s 2023 Community Campaign Celebration was a great success, thanks to all the incredible organizations, and community members who joined us to commemorate an extraordinary year!
We are grateful to our sponsor The Venue for making the event possible. Special gratitude to our 2023 Campaign Chair, Jim Hendry, for leading a successful campaign!

Jim embodies the essence of tenacity and determination. With a relentless pursuit of our goals, his leadership has been marked by unwavering commitment and exceptional follow-through. Setting the bar high, Jim's goal-oriented approach has been instrumental in driving our success and resulted in re-engaging several workplaces, supporting leadership giving and growing the number of volunteers in our 2023 Campaign Cabinet.
When challenges arose (as they inevitably do), Jim’s calm demeanor and humour served as a guiding light, and helped to instill confidence, and unity within our team.
Jim's contributions are not just appreciated; they are celebrated!
