It was a sold-out house at the launch of United Way’s 2015 Campaign as David Martin, this year’s Campaign Chair, announced a goal of $2,290,000.
“The 2015 campaign goal reflects what we feel will best meet the need that has been identified with you, our community. There was much time spent identifying the need – through research and consultation. There was much thought given to prioritizing the need – through outcome measurement and consultation,” said Martin. “And in turn, much time and effort spent on investing in the need through thoughtful and strategic collaborations with the ultimate goal to create opportunities for a better life for all. And so we come to you today to present a campaign goal we feel best reflects our commitment to realizing this vision for our community,” added Martin.
“Our vision for Peterborough is simple…safe, supportive neighbourhoods where community partners work together to ensure everyone is healthy and can participate to make our City and County a better place for all,” said Jim Russell, CEO United Way Peterborough & District. “Inviting everyone to engage and act on our vision is central to our work. We hope to engage everyone in the community in our work and inspire them to join us in the belief – together we are possibility,” Russell added.
