We are thrilled to announce that the 6th Annual Peterborough Performs – Musicians United to End Homelessness is scheduled for Thursday, February 26th 2026 from 7-11PM, at Showplace Performance Centre.
Peterborough Performs is a one-of-a-kind evening of live music and community impact. Featuring 14 talented local musicians, this special event brings our community together for one unforgettable night in support of our most vulnerable neighbours.
Through the power of music, we will shine a spotlight on homelessness as a critical issue in our city and raise vital funds to make a meaningful difference. Join us as we celebrate local talent, build awareness, and stand united for change.

From February 12 at noon through February 26 at 9:30 PM, our virtual auction will be open and ready for your bids. Join us for our FREE Period Promise Workshop!
In this informal workshop, Heather Litster (@heatherlitster__ ) , founder of Moon and Bloom, and host of the Community Red Tent, will dive into the menstrual health foundations that many folks were not taught in school, and Meagan Vaughan, the Women & HIV/AIDS Initiative Coordinator at Peterborough AIDS Resource Network (@whai.parn ) will discuss issues surrounding period poverty and inadequate access to personal wellness and hygiene necessities, as well as ways that we as a community can work together to advance menstrual equity.

The likelihood of being unable to afford period products is even higher among Indigenous menstruators.

Other Ways to Advance Menstrual Equity:
~ Advocate for a basic income guarantee to prevent period poverty before it starts (support Bill S-206!)
~ Provide a variety of free period products in your workplace bathrooms
~ Offer menstrual leave in addition to your sick day policy, as well as related accommodations , including for those experiencing menopause
