Peggy Shaughnessy

Peggy Shaughnessy, currently a PhD Candidate close to finishing her dissertation, splits her time between studies, business, family and community advocacy. She founded Whitepath Consulting and developed the Redpath approach which is healing thousands of people across Canada. Since closing the Whistle Stop Café last year, she has focused her time on healing this community. Peggy is Peterborough born and raised and is proud to support many local initiatives as a member of the Kawartha Rotary Club.

Peggy followed her passion for helping people through a twenty year nursing career before she went back to school to get her Master’s degree. As a parent, nurse, businesswomen, student, scholar, entrepreneur and expert Peggy has continued to advocate for change, inclusion, fairness and dignity by focusing on the roots causes for social problems.

Peggy’s Redpath model is a research-based best practice with over 20 years of proven success in recovery from trauma, addiction and violence. Redpath is being offering on an outpatient basis at Right to Heal and will soon be available as a residential program. Peggy has had and continues to have a huge impact on people’s lives who are able to develop the skills of resilience and accountability through the deep long lasting connection she fosters.
