Tampon Tuesday

Tampon Tuesday – 2021

For the 5th year, United Way Peterborough and the Peterborough & District Labour Council are joining with Pure Country 105 and Move 99.7 to collect and distribute menstrual hygiene products in our community for Tampon Tuesday. The need for menstrual hygiene products is significant, especially during this pandemic. During the month of February, we are asking the labour community to collect menstrual hygiene products form co-workers in their workplace. We are aware some workplaces are not open to the public and staff are working remotely from home; therefore, we have introduced an online donation page specifically for Tampon Tuesday. Below are links to the promotional posters and online donation page:

We know the community is supportive of this annual project, so we will also have a drop off at the United Way Peterborough & District Office, 277 Stewart Street (corner of King & Stewart) on the following dates:

Thursday, February 18 from 9-5

Monday, February 22 from 9-5

Wednesday, February 24 from 9-5

Saturday February 27 from 11-1

Tuesday, March 2 from 9-4:30

*There will a plastic box outside the front door in which you can drop your donation.

Once collected, the menstrual hygiene products will be distributed to community outreach programs to get the products to those in need.

There will be a virtual Facebook Live Tampon Tuesday event on Tuesday, March 2. Stay tuned for details.
