Renewing Commitment to Our Community

An Open Call to Local Service Agencies

After nearly two years of research and development, United Way Peterborough & District has launched an open call to local social service agencies to apply for funding under a new community investment model. United Way will concentrate its efforts on two key areas: moving people from poverty to possibility and building healthy and strong communities.

Watch our video update by Jim Russell, CEO United Way Peterborough & District

The priority focus is on three distinct areas – basic needs, life skills and community supports. United Way Peterborough & District wants to make significant progress toward a vision of a poverty-free community; a place where all children and youth achieve their full potential; where individuals and families have greater independence and financial stability; where everyone has a sense of well-being and safety and feels a meaningful connection to their community.

The call for applications is now open to all agencies in the City and/or County of Peterborough.
