Leadership Development Program: Overview

Who is this for?

Laridae’s Leadership Development Program caters to experienced leaders, as well as those new to the role. It is ideal for you if:

  • You are currently, or will be, a senior leader or volunteer board member of a non-profit organization.
  • You want to better understand the value of healthy dynamics between executive leadership and the board.
  • You want to best leverage your capacity to lead your organization to have an even bigger impact in your community.
  • You are eager to learn, have an open mind, and are willing to try new things.

What you will get out of this program

As a non-profit leader, you will graduate this program with the practical know-how you need to avoid common but costly missteps, and guide your organizations with newfound confidence and clarity.

  • Deepen your understanding of good governance
  • Develop strategic clarity for your organization
  • Manage and mitigate enterprise-wide risk
  • Lead purposeful change
  • Tell a powerful organizational story
  • Plan for leadership transition and succession
  • Increase your impact and leadership potential

United Way of Peterborough & District and Laridae are partnered to offer the Leadership Development Program again in 2021, extending our strategic partnership to increase community capacity in the non-profit sector. Registration is open now until January 15, 2021. Spaces are limited to make sure that the program is accessible to smaller, local non-profits. This partnership has enabled a scholarship opportunity where recipients can receive up to 75% contributed to their registration fee.

Day of Caring is Friday, June 26, and we`re looking for volunteers ready to roll up their sleeves and make a meaningful difference for local agencies across our community.

Will it be a day of hard work? Absolutely.
Will it make a lasting impact for the organizations and people who rely on these agencies every day? Without a doubt. 💯

Volunteer projects include gardening, landscaping, painting, outdoor maintenance, and assisting in an event day of. Whether you`re a seasoned volunteer or looking for a new way to give back, there`s a role for you!
