Day of Caring

June 16th, 2023 9:00AM - 5:00PM

Attention Peterborough community! 📢

We are excited to announce the upcoming “Day of Caring” event for the United Way Peterborough & District! 🙌🏼

Join us on Friday, June 16th 2023, for a day filled with volunteer work and community building. This event is a wonderful opportunity to give back to our community and make a real difference in the lives of those around us.

Whether you’re an individual or a group, we welcome all volunteers who are passionate about making a positive impact. Together, we can create a better and stronger Peterborough.

Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity to connect with your community and make a meaningful contribution.

Open Call for Volunteer Projects!

United Way Peterborough & District is committed to creating positive change in our community and we  appreciate the important work that all of our local not for profit agencies do to support our mission of building a strong, vibrant and equitable community for us all.  Our Day of Caring will be about supporting local agencies in completing projects that will enhance their agencies or initiatives.

If you are a local not for profit that has a small odd jobs like, organizing a storage room, painting a fence, or planting flowers or a larger scale initiative that can be completed by a group of volunteers, we would like to invite you to submit your tasks or projects  for the 2023 United Way “Day of Caring” HERE

For more information, please contact Mabby Mwanangonze at mmwanangonze@uwpeterborough.ca. We can’t wait to see you there! ❤️

Today, United Way Peterborough & District is announcing an important leadership transition.

As Jim Russell prepares to retire after nearly 15 years as Chief Executive Officer, we extend our deepest gratitude for his leadership, dedication, and commitment to building a stronger community. Jim's impact on this organization and the people we serve will be felt for years to come.

At the same time, we are pleased to welcome Jason Seguya as our next Chief Executive Officer, effective July 6, 2026. Jason brings experience leading mission-driven organizations and a strong commitment to collaboration, community engagement, and positive social impact.
