Extension of the 2024 Charitable Donation Deadline!

United Way Centraide Canada advocated to the federal government for an extension to the 2024 charitable donation deadline. The impacts of the Canada Post labour dispute meant that charities, like United Way Peterborough & District, were faced with delays in mailing our donors and receiving mailed-in donations.

Now, any charitable donations made by February 28, 2025 can be claimed as part of your 2024 taxes.

Ways to donate:

  • Drop off or mail a cheque dated on or prior to February 28, 2025 (cheques can be safely left in our secure mailbox outside of business hours)
  • Donate online via credit card at: https://give.unitedway.ca/donate/WPETER 
  • Call us to donate via credit card at: 705-742-8839 (press 3 for donation assistance)
