Youth Advisory Committee
The United Youth Advisory Committee is made up of a group of youth, ages 14-19 who volunteer their time and leadership skills to United Way of Peterborough & District. Committee members advise on marketing initiatives, network with other teens, recruit youth volunteers, and support United Way projects such as: Coats For Kids; Backpacks For Kids; Youth Grants and G.I.V.E (Get Inspired for Volunteer Experience) a volunteer awareness event. G.I.V.E. A Volunteer Awareness Event
G.I.V.E. Get Inspired for Volunteer Experience is a volunteer fair/coffee house showcasing local youth performers. At this event, high school students looking for volunteer experience can network with local agencies to secure volunteer positions which will help them achieve their mandatory community service hours required to obtain their OSSD.
