Community Workshops

Capacity building supports continuous development of individuals and excellence in the non-profit sector. Each year the United Way of Peterborough & District offers a comprehensive and varied slate of community workshops open to any non-profit agency located or operating in the Kawartha Lakes area.

The workshops found in our workshop calendar are designed according to feedback we receive throughout the year, as well as the results of our annual training needs survey. We collaborate with trainers and content specialists to provide high quality training that is relevant to your work. The training courses offered are designed to suit adult learners by offering small class sizes and an interactive learning environment.

E-Learning Opportunities with United Way

United Way of Peterborough & District and Sir Sanford Fleming College have collaborated to offer an online certificate program in Not-For-Profit Leadership.

This unique certificate program is designed to provide practical management training for those who are employed or senior volunteers in the not for profit sector. The program uses a balanced and integrated learning methodology focusing on the key functions of not for profit management.
